Who do you Trust?Tuesday, August 12 2008 |
In Season 2, Episode 4 Audrina and Heidi made up and Heidi began to doubt Spencer’s feelings. Lauren talked about her mixed feelings for Brody.

Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag were out by the pool. Lauren said she might want to tell Brody that she just wants to be friends. Heidi said, “Oh, don’t say that!” Lauren said that Jason broke her. Heidi mentioned that it was getting easier for her and Spencer and she said that they were more secure in their relationship. Heidi mentioned that she and Audrina Patridge were going to meet later. She said that all of their troubles are getting in the way. Heidi said, “Its like, come on, what are we in high school? Grow up.” Lauren said that she was proud of Heidi. She said, “My Heidi’s growing up.” Heidi said, “So fast.”
Heidi was at Bolthouse Offices and asked her boss Brent if she could take a few vacation days to go celebrate her mom’s birthday. He said, “Sure.” One of Heidi’s male co-workers called her at her desk. He mentioned that he got chewed out about the office dress code and thought he’d warn her. He said, “You look great and all, but I don’t know if what you’re wearing is appropriate.” She said she’d talk to Brent about it. Heidi looked very uncomfortable after she got off the phone.
Whitney Port and Lauren were at work at Teen Vogue. Whitney asked Lauren how her date with Brody went. Lauren said, “I’m not good at dating. I think I forgot how.” Whitney asked Lauren if Brody kissed her. She acted shy at first and said, “Maybe, sort of, yes.” Then she admitted he was a good kisser. Whitney said, “Maybe it’s meant to be.” Lauren replied, “Oh my God, stop it, you get corny on me I’ll beat you up.” The girls laughed.

Heidi met Spencer Pratt out for lunch. She told him that she asked her boss, Brent, if her outfit was inappropriate and he said no. She mentioned that her co-worker, Max, had told her that it did and Spencer acted shocked and said he couldn’t wait to see him out at the club so he could tell him that his outfit looks inappropriate. Heidi told Spencer that she was going to meet with Audrina for dinner. He got very irritated and started rambling about how she’s probably going to try to do something to get between them. He insisted that she must have some kind of motive behind this truce. When he was done mimicking what he thought Audrina would say, he then cut the conversation short and said, “Now can we have a good conversation about how pretty you look and how cute your outfit is and how I want to be here with you and not talking about Audrina.” Heidi’s co-workers Max and Elodie walked into the restaurant and by their table. When Spencer and Heidi were leaving, Spencer turned around and darted straight for Max. He confronted him saying, “Don’t comment on how Heidi dresses. We and everyone we hang out with love how she dresses. You’re an intern bro.” Max said, “I’m not an intern.” Spencer responded by saying, “You’re an assistant to my boy Diamond. Heidi dresses cute every day. You’re not the boss. Don’t tell her how to dress.” Max said, “Ok man, and bumped Spencer as he was walking away.” Spencer pushed Max and said, “Don’t touch me bro.” Spencer followed Max outside, taunting him the entire way. Heidi pleaded for Spencer to get in the car. Max called Spencer a tool and Spencer then told him he wanted to fight. Spencer said, “Do you have any idea what I’m going to do to you dude. You don’t call someone a tool in LA.” Max said he didn’t want to fight. Max started walking across the street. Spencer said, “Keep walking away. Keep walking away. I’ll see you at the club.”
Heidi said, “Why would you do that?” Spencer said, “Hey, I was being nice before he called me a tool. I just commented on how Heidi dresses.” Heidi said, “Ok, I’m getting out of here.” She and Spencer hugged. Heidi’s co-worker Elodie was with Heidi and she said to Spencer, “Nice to meet you.” Spencer said, “Ok, give me a hug, I’m not a jerk.”
Whitney and Lauren were at work talking about a party that Whitney would be attending that night. Teen Vogue offered to let her pick out an outfit from the rack. She found a really cute pair of pants. Then the girls talked about Heidi and Audrina’s plans to meet for dinner and how they were both happy they were going to reconcile.

Heidi and Audrina met for dinner. Heidi started the conversation saying, “Like, ok, this is what happened. At my birthday you came and I told you I didn’t think it was appropriate to have that drama at my birthday. Tomorrow I’ll talk to you, the next day. And then, you showed up with Spencer that night. And I was like, are you kidding me? I thought, why would Audrina show up here after I had heard you were like, hooking up with him, or whatever.” Audrina totally denied hooking up with Spencer and told Heidi that Spencer isn’t her type. Audrina told Heidi that Spencer kept going up and grabbing her on the dance floor acting as if they were together to totally piss Heidi off. She said that he was using her to get to Heidi. Heidi said, “I’m really sick of people coming up to me saying, watch out for Spencer, watch out for Spencer. It’s like, I know, just let me be.” Audrina said, “Were you still with him two or three Saturdays ago?” Heidi said she was. Audrina told Heidi that Spencer had called her and she never called him back. She said she didn’t know what his deal was and she didn’t understand. She said it was just weird. Audrina said she didn’t know if she should tell Heidi. Heidi said she should definitely tell her those things. Audrina was so relieved. Heidi raised her glass and said, “Cheers to us.” The girls clanked glasses. Audrina told Heidi to be careful with Spencer.

Heidi returned to the Hillside Villa apartments and told Lauren about the dinner with Audrina. She said that she and Audrina were ok now and that Audrina said that Spencer has been trying to piss her off and has been calling Audrina for weeks. Audrina said, “Who would make up something like that?” Lauren said, “I’m not saying she’s making it up.” Heidi said how hard it was to have everyone coming up to her saying beware of Spencer. Lauren said, “I don’t care. They don’t see how he looks at you when you’re together.” Lauren said that she didn’t completely trust Spencer, but she did trust that he likes Heidi. Lauren said, “I mean, that’s part of dating, you don’t know people when you start dating them.” Lauren asked, “Who do you trust more, Audrina or Spencer?” Heidi said, “I don’t know.” Later Heidi was packing for her trip to see her mom. She asked Lauren if she’d go to the club to spy on Spencer while she’s gone. She wanted to see if he’s as bad as Audrina said. She admitted that she’s crazy jealous.
Spencer was at his friend Brody’s condo. Brody asked Spencer who was going to the club that night. Spencer told him that Heidi was out of town and that the playmates would be there. Spencer also checked his myspace friend list and mentioned that he didn’t have enough ladies on there. There was a knock at the door and in walked a few of Spencer’s guy friends with some pretty blondes. Spencer told the girls that he was a little overwhelmed right now. He said, “Hugh Heffner, eat your heart out.” The guys did a toast and each took turns saying part of it. Spencer said, “To the most beautiful human beings I’ve ever seen.” He clanked the girl’s glasses.

Heidi ended up missing her flight and planned to surprise Spencer at Area Night Club. A friend of Heidi’s met Heidi outside the night club and informed her that Spencer walked into the club with two blonde bimbos. Meanwhile, Spencer was inside flirting and talking about having a naked picnic with one of the girls. He also asked her if she’d marry him. The girls walked in to find Spencer hanging out on the couch with two blondes. Spencer got up and went over to Heidi and said, “Ah, so you had a little plan. You’re like the sneakiest girl.” She told him that she missed her flight. Lauren went and gave Brody a hug. He said she made his night. Heidi was mad and planned to leave after one of the girls told her that Spencer was hitting on all the girls that night. Spencer was still over with the naked picnic girl and said, “I didn’t meet you till tonight and it threw off everything.” He decided to dance with her and blow Heidi off. Heidi confronted Spencer and told him what the girl said. She said, “I don’t care.” Spencer said, “If you didn’t care, why would you be acting like this?” She threw her hands up, turned around and said, “I don’t care.” She walked away. Spencer watched her leave and rubbed his head. Lauren and Heidi left in a cab.
Back at Hillside Villas the girls were in the family room and Lauren was on a call with Spencer. She told him that she saw him with the three playmates. Heidi was yelling in the background, “I’m over you. It’s fine. I’m over you.” Lauren said, “No, Heidi didn’t put me on the phone. She was crying so hard I had to pick up the phone. You have to realize, you have to decide what you want with Heidi.” Heidi yelled, “Get off the phone!” Lauren said, “Spencer stop, Heidi’s gonna call you tomorrow.” Then she hung up. The girls cuddled on the couch. Heidi said, “I was really falling in love with him.” Lauren said, “Don’t fall in love with anyone here. You’re too young to fall in love.” The girls cuddled on the couch while Spencer continued to hang out with the playmates at the club.
