The Mole - News Room

The Mole is a reality television game show which was originally created in 1999 by Woestijnvis and broadcast on BNN in the Netherlands. It was conceived by Michiel Devlieger, Bart de Pauw, Tom Lenaerts and others, and the format was later licensed in 40 countries.

Season Finale: All is Revealed

Who is The Mole? Mark, Craig or
Nicole?

Mole fans are on pins and needles awaiting the next show Monday when all will be revealed. Last week Craig, Mark and Nicole took their last quiz and the results were put on hold until this Monday, August 11 for the show’s finale.

The winner and the Mole will surface with all eleven original contestants as they reunite to review the season. All the clues that were given over the last ten weeks will be revealed. We can hear the “ooohs,” “ahhhs” and the “Why didn’t I catch that?” from many of the fans already.

One person will be taking home the jackpot of $420,000, just $80,000 shy of the maximum the group could earn. Looks as if the Mole didn’t do that great of a job; sabotaging the pot less than 20 percent.

Behind-the-scene’s events are to be revealed too. Were some of the players really at each other’s throats or was it a put on? Were Alex and Nicole flirting? Was it just flirting? What happened? Are they dating now?

In the meantime, let’s keep our eyes out for the results of the Save the Mole campaign and see if the show will come back again for a sixth season. Even Jon Kelley is throwing his hat into the ring for this marketing crusade.

The whole cast will reunite for the finale.

Jon has added a video to the SavetheMole.com Web site. As he whips up a batch of sour cocktails in what appears to be his kitchen, he informs viewers that he doubling the prize producer Scott Stone has offered to whomever can get 500,000 views on their Youtube video referencing the Save the Mole campaign. See Jon's in our Video Room.

The grand prize is the chance to be transported to Los Angeles to be wined and dined with Scott Stone. Jon has offered to do that himself – and, he said for those interested in hosting a show or becoming a reporter he would help them build a resume tape if they needed it.

That's right -- two lucky winners could get the star treatment and a chance to consult with professionals in the broadcasting industry. So, get out your video camera and submit your plea to Save the Mole today!

Once we find out whether or not there will be a next season, you’ll be the first to know. Stay tuned!
