The Mole - News Room

The Mole is a reality television game show which was originally created in 1999 by Woestijnvis and broadcast on BNN in the Netherlands. It was conceived by Michiel Devlieger, Bart de Pauw, Tom Lenaerts and others, and the format was later licensed in 40 countries.

Beauty, Brains and Booted

Kristen was executed from The Mole
by losing the quiz tie by one second!

Even the smartest contestant on The Mole can be outwitted by this season’s mole. Kristen Willeumier is the latest player to be ousted from ABC’s summer reality show. Kristen wasn’t just another pretty face like the last statuesque model Ali – that took a $30,000 bribe and ran. Kristen is highly educated; she is a Neuroscientist – a Postdoctoral Researcher who works for Cedar’s Sinai Medical Center.

Kristen researches neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s disease. She holds four degrees: a B.A. in Psychology from Boston College; two master’s degrees and a PhD from UCLA, Neurobiology and Physiological Science, according to her profile on LinkedIn.

Kristen is researching a cure for
Parkinson's disease at UCLA.

If she can’t figure out who the mole is, who can?

She told host Jon Kelley that she had in her mind chosen who the mole was from the very beginning and was following her hunch on each quiz. Sooner or later, she would have failed that quiz, she lamented. The week she was booted, Jon told the players that there was a tie, and thus it goes by how long it takes to finish the quiz. Kristen missed it by one second.

But, Kristen has a busy schedule and plenty to do now that she is free from The Mole. RealityBug.com caught up with the buxom blonde bombshell after returning to Chicago from a photo shoot in Miami. Not only is she smart as a whip, the 35-year-old beauty is working on her modeling portfolio. Unfortunately, she was unavailable for an interview before press time. Watch for an update later this week!
