Another Side of Ali on The Mole

Ali's claim to fame is as a UFC ring girl, she's
also won many contests including for Hooters
and Maxim.
Ali Sonoma wasn’t just another contestant on
The Mole; she has plenty of experience in front of a television camera. As a former Ultimate Fighting Championship ring girl, Ali, 24, was seen by millions on pay-per-view.
Although she chose to take the money and run from
The Mole, she said the experience was awesome. “It’s not everyday you jump off a waterfall in South America, or go running around the town half naked begging strangers for clothes off their backs, or how about scavenger hunting for pigs!” she said on her MySpace page.
“30 g’s is a nice payday, it’s guaranteed … I wasn’t ‘feeling’ the drama and fighting amongst the players (you could tell by my facial expressions), I was a little homesick, I could go on and on but, why even question $30 grand, right?!” she wrote in her blog.
Ali spent time hanging out with UFC
fighter Diego Sanchez.
Ali’s
Web site reveals that she has had a thing for the spotlight since she was three and has been a tap, ballet, baton, acrobat and jazz dancer for years. She’s also been modeling since she was 16 years old. And in fact, a glance at her modeling portfolio might explain why she seemed so comfortable running around town half-naked on
The Mole. She is also an aspiring actress, appearing in her first independent film called
Cantina Bar Tales.
In 2007, she was featured in
Maxim’s Hometown Hottie contest. She told
Maxim a little about herself. “Looks can be deceiving. I may look innocent, but I'm not. I love having fun,” she said. Looks as if things changed between that photo shoot and her stint on
The Mole because her
biography for the reality TV show remits a different message.
She told ABC producers that she used to be a party girl, one who celebrated her 21st birthday in Vegas with Motley Crue, but now she’s turned her life around and maintains a healthy religious lifestyle with her boyfriend, a UFC fighter. It’s been reported, however, that Ali and Diego Sanchez have since parted ways.
