Biography
Chris Garver was raised in by his mother who encouraged his artistic talent. Hhe attended The Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts. Chris got his start in tattooing when he sold his bass guitar at age 17 to buy tattoo equipment. After he graduated, Chris took one year of art school and apprenticed for six months, repairing old tattoos that needed touch-ups, before he started tattooing clients on his own.
In his early twenties, he moved to New York City where he became a full-time professional tattoo artist.
At 35, Chris is the oldest and the first to become a tattoo master. He is widely considered to be among the best tattoo artists in the world, with a celebrity-studded list of private clients. He stars in the TLC hit reality show, ""Miami Ink".
