Dina grew up on Rick James music...
I read over the weekend that Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx wanted to give the king of Punk-Funk Rick James his own reality show. It turned out that in the later years of his life, the "Superfreak" himself was saddled with financial burdens and was struggling with family and health issues. The plan that Foxx had not only would have relieved James' money blues, but it would have helped the pioneering musician/songwriter make a fabulous comeback.
But sadly, the plan never came to fruition because James passed away from a heart attack on August 6, 2004.
and wanted his hairstyle for the longest!
I personally think that it would have been cool for Slick Rick to have his own reality show. They could have called it "America's Next Superfreak" or "So You Think You Can Funk?"
Reality television, in today's economy, is a large cash cow for celebrities. Especially for the ones down and out. The market is booming for such shows, there are plenty of people to watch them and it gives me plenty to write about every week on Reality Bug. On this site, we share our love of reality television with you.
