It is not hard to get on TV nowadays...
There was a recent discussion on our message boards where someone had asked how to many of the reality tv stars get their own shows? It is a very valid question and it is worth investigating.
Many reality stars get their own show as a spin-off of another popular show. Let's take for instance a famous and popular person right now: Kat Von D. She originally starred as a tattoo artist on TLC's popular show, "Miami Ink". She of course got booted from the show and since then has opened up her own shop, started her own makeup line and even has a starring role in a movie. Sista's doing for themselves!!!
Kat's Tats are more famous than she is!
So I suppose that the formula for getting your own TV show is to get booted off of another show. Preferably teary-eyed and really dramatic like. It gets ratings and tv producer's attentions. You will be a star and then have someone on your show who you will kick off and then they will get their own show.
And the cycle continues....
