For all the Canadians who think Kat Von D is wicked, I’ve got good news for you. You won’t have to travel to LA to say “Hi” to the Tattoo Queen because she’s jet-setting your way this Thursday, August 21, 2008. Kat will finish up some LA Ink business in the morning and then be traveling to Toronto with her sister to do a meet-and-greet at
Sephora @ Toronto-Eaton Centre

Once again, she’ll be promoting her make-up line, but she’s happy to meet her fans whether they’re into eye shadow or not. Several of Kat’s fans posted comments about their Kat Von D encounter at Sephora in NYC. Many said she was very friendly and made everyone feel important. One fan said that meeting Kat was definitely worth the three hour wait. Another fan was so excited to have met her and thanked Kat for helping her stay motivated to work towards achieving her goals. The overall consensus was that Kat was warm and friendly from start to finish.

If you’re eager to meet Kat, make sure you get to Sephora early. For the NYC event, fans were lined up at 10:00am and the meet-and-greet didn’t start till 5:00pm. When the doors opened there were over 1,000 people waiting to meet this famous Tattooer. The stragglers on the end of the line waited for hours, but were disappointed when they were turned away due to lack of time.
One fan who waited in the NYC line said that the people-watching opportunity was incredible. There was everything from teens to adults covered in all sorts of outrageous tattoos. There were men in guy-liner and people in studded clothing and dark t-shirts lining the streets. It sounds as if time spent on line could be as exciting as meeting Kat. Since Kat’s fans are all over the world, one can assume that there will be tattoo lovers crowding the Toronto Sephora storefront bright and early tomorrow morning, eagerly awaiting the 5:00pm Kat Von D extravaganza. If you plan to be on that line it seems to be a worthwhile way to spend your day according to the NYC Sephora meet-and-greet participants.
