Volume One
Gordon Ramsay is known for being an awesome chef. He is the recipient of numerous awards and owns restaurants.
However, audiences are equally interested in his personality: he is a perfectionist to say the least and he swears all the time. It's almost as if he is looking for an argument so he can release some aggression and it is all documented in
Kitchen Nightmares Volume One.
The general plot of the story is that a failing restaurant enlists the wisdom of Ramsay's expertise to save it from ruin. Ramsay comes through with a plan and basically goes to implement it. Sometimes an owner may not appreciate Ramsay's plan and then we get to see the celebrity chef and restaurateur get into a screaming fit. Besides cooking, that is one of Ramsay's gifts: the ability to cuss anyone out.
Gordon Ramsay
Some people may be put off by Ramsay's mouth. He doesn't mince words and he demands the highest quality of anyone who works with him. Not bad logic considering that he handles people's food for a living.
This DVD set is a spin-off from Hell's Kitchen that showed Ramsay in his most recognizable state: cursing someone to oblivion. He is just as much as a perfectionist when it comes to his own creations. He has been known to smash his own plates of food if they didn't live up to his expectations.
Nevertheless, Ramsay has fans on both sides of the Atlantic who will most likely tune into this famous European chef with a penchant for tasty gourmet dishes and having a hissy fit. Bon Appetite!
