Will The Real Gordon Ramsay Please Stand Up?

Thursday, June 12 2008

Gordon Ramsay.
How could there be two?
That's right, now there are two Gordon Ramsay's. Well, there's the Gordon Ramsay - celebrity chef you love to hate, and "Gordon F. Ramsay" the chef of Liverpool, formerly known as Craig Davies.

Apparently the later of the two British chefs is pretty hard on his staff and had been told that he was a bit of a "Gordon F. Ramsay".

This led to the chef desiring the permanent name change. This and the urges of his staff. His harsh ways were much like the famed Chef Ramsay, and so much so, that his staff referred to him as "Gordon F. Ramsay."

Gordon, Problaby Yelling That
Little Word that has Made Him Famous
The "F" is added, and not part of the original Gordon's name. Craig Davies originally requested a full middle name, but changed it to just the initial after his request was denied by the Legal Deed Service. It is unclear what exactly the "f" stands for in this name change. However, we are fairly certain that it is not "farm", "funny-man", or "fish-lips".

The real question is, is there enough room in this world for TWO hot headed chefs named "Gordon Ramsay" And how does ole Gordo feel about this? Is it flattering or insulting to have your name become synonomous with kitchen-tyrant?

Gordon and his people have yet to make an official response to the recent name change.
