The People Have Spoken

The Simmons Clan got an opportunity to follow Gene's advice to "sit back and let the people speak." We were treated to viewer chosen clips from favorite episodes. With so much stellar material to choose from I hope your favorite was included.

The Simmons Clan

First up, in viewer favorites was darling Nicky. With Daddy Gene's macho good looks, Mama Shannon's wry wit, and a talent that is all his own, Nick better watch out because the ladies are definitely watching you. Viewers offered up advice for dealing with the ladies, including shyness only attracts more women, and "Don't be like your father, 4800 women is too many!" Other viewers wondered if Nick could be proper (or improper) Cougar Bait. Favorite episodes included Gene inviting Nick's friend, the very British, Victoria, to spend the night, much to the chagrin of Nick's girlfriend, Cody. Can anybody say: "Oh, snap!" Viewers also loved the episode in which Gene volunteered Nick as a gift for a fourteen year olds birthday party, complete with a ice cream cake with Nick's face emblazoned in the icing. Trez yum!
Viewers also love "KISS Memorabilia Unit Number Two", the ever sweet, Sophie. Unlike Nick, viewers offered little in the way of advice for Sophie. With her full plate of activities that include volunteering as an intern, being a member of her school's volleyball team, and professional modeling, Sophie elicited words from viewers like "pride," and "she is growing into a beautiful young woman." She ain't a bad role model, either. Viewers were particularly moved by the episode when Sophie traversed the Catwalk and brought Gene to tears.

Gene Simmons

Of course, Gene was the subject of most viewer picks. They loved the Las Vegas Roast, which also starred comedian, Carrot Top. They liked the one in which Gene was stranded in the Nevada dessert only to be rescued by, none other than, Carrot Top. Better late than never, Gene arrives in Las Vegas just in time to be transformed from rock and roll dragon to Vegas lounge lizard. The Big Band sound was a definite hit with viewers. Carrot Top is a catalyst, again, in an episode that caught Gene with his hand strategically glued to "a bat massager" (yeah, right), in time for the Elvis-style wedding of Shannon and Tracy's sister. Gene can get himself into plenty of strange circumstances, but few as strange as when he was researching his book, Ladies of the Night. This led to a night spent in jail with career girls Utopia Safari and Winky Valentine, who were not quite the "ladies" Gene was expecting.
Gene's parasailing adventures, his stint as Gene-bo, and discovering automotive hydraulics also made the list. Yet, Gene's adventures in babysitting for twins Hunter and Jakers at Seaworld brought a grin to many a viewers face. "How could you lose a whole person, Genie?," asked Shannon. It's in the Gene's.
