'Dog The Bounty Hunter' Sued by Former Producer

Boris Krutonog, Dogs former
agent and manager

Duane "Dog" Chapman's former agent and manager, Boris Krutonog is sueing A&E for failing to pay his salary for the fourth season of the show, cutting him out of agreed DVD royalties and creating an "intolerable and hostile workplace." Krutonog, the creator and co-executive producer of "Dog the Bounty Hunter," has also accused Dog and Beth Chapman of "abusive, violent and outrageous conduct" and "episodes of psychotic behavior." Legal papers filed at New York Supreme Court reveal Krutonog is seeking over $800,000 in damages as well as attorney fees.

According to Dog's autobiography, "You Can Run But You Can't Hide," "this crazy Russian named Boris Krutonog" contacted Dog in 1995 to discuss developing a show based on his experiences. Dog credits Krutonog with geting the show off the ground. "Boris is one of of those Hollywood guys who started out acting in movies, including The Hunt for Red October and The Italian Job. He also had connections to get things done and deliver." Between 1995 and 2003, Krutonog developed what became "Dog the Bounty Hunter," court papers say. They say that to get his consent to produce and air the show, A&E agreed to pay him as co-executive producer "for the life of the program."

Dog's Wedding Party
(Boris Krutonog to left of Dog)

Krutonog aided in planning and executing the capture of bail jumper Andrew Luster and spent time in a mexican prison along with Dog, Leland Chapman, and Tim "Youngblood" Chapman after Luster's capture in Mexico. He as also the the Best Man at the wedding of Duane and Beth, (shown on the August 8th, 2006 episode of "Dog the Bounty Hunter").

Dog has recently responded to the allegations through his attorney Marty Singer: "It is unfortunate that Boris Krutonog, who was Dog Chapman's and Beth Chapman's former agent and manager, has made gratuitous, ridiculous and outrageous statements about his former clients. Mr. Krutonog was fired for cause more than two years ago after he refused to work on the series."
