Dirty Jobs Available on DVD

Season 1

Now available on DVD is The Discovery Channel’s hit reality show, Dirty Jobs Collection One. The show’s star, Mike Rowe, goes on an odyssey through nine episodes that showcases some of the most disgusting and even dangerous jobs that people do.
From cleaning up after pigeons in New York City, to mastering the art of being an Ostrich farmer, to working in a coal mine, Mike Rowe learns how some Americans make their living. Sometimes it is smelly but it is always a unique experience for Rowe who said that this show was a memorial for his father and grandfather.

Rowe, a former opera singer, continually leaves his comfort zone to experience first hand of what it is like to work in some of the most uncommon jobs the American economy can offer. He even gets to work as a pig farmer and artificially inseminate one of the piggies! Go figure.

Season 2

We get to watch Mike Rowe do jobs that we didn't know existed in The Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs Collection Two DVD. We get to watch him do careers that would try the patience of Job, and yet, we become more educated to see how other people make an honest living day to day.

Imagine digging for bloodworms (I don't even like the sound of that), gutting a mold infested house damaged by Hurricane Katrina, working with goats that will faint at the drop of a hat and setting a perfect mood for insects to mate in.

But by watching the second season of Dirty Jobs, we don't have to imagine. we can just watch Rowe do things that he wouldn't have dreamed people could make money doing. And just in case you are a person that does or has done a job that Rowe does in the series, understand that at least a million Americans are tipping their hats off to you for all your hard work.
