Biography
Andy Hillstrand was actually born on a boat, so the ocean is in his blood. As a third generation fisherman, he shares skipper duties with his brother Johnathan on the F/V Time Bandit. The ship was built by his father equipped with anemities unheard of on a fishing vessel like saunas and dishwashers.
After over thirty years living in Homer, Alaska, he and his family moved to Indiana to start a horse business. Capt. Andy travels back and forth to Alaska to fish on the Time Bandit when his brother Capt. Johnathan is off season. When he is not fishing or training horses, Andy likes to hunt. He has several of his trophy size moose horns mounted at his ranch in Indiana.
He is one of the stars of the Discovery Channel's popular reality show, DEADLIEST CATCH.
