Calling all Loyal! Friday, June 27 2008

Well it’s that time! I know you are excited! Criss Angel Mindfreak is weeks away. Starting July 9th @ 10p.m., we get the teaser reruns to get all the Loyal back in the viewing rhythm, so get your popcorn, black leather, your favorite drink and lets be amazed with a two hour, four episode marathon! Looks like we might be calling in sick tomorrow!

News from Vegas is that the upcoming season of Mind Freak will begin on July 23rd. Hollywood-247 reports that our favorite Vegas Magician is doing some schedule changes prior to the Live, yes Live episode. Originally scheduled for the 23rd the live special has been pushed back until the 30th due to scheduling issues and conflicts in prep work for his Cirque du Soleil Believe premiering in September. A previously filmed episode for this season will air first.

Calling the live broadcast stunt, “dice with death”, Implosion will air live, with Criss being “locked and secured” right up to the moment of an explosion which blows up a building. This will be the first-ever “ticking clock countdown” with a 60 minute window - How hot is that?!?!?

Not to diminish the season opener in any way, the start of the season will feature Angel attempt to walk on water at the nearby Lake Mead. Not as flashy but none-the-less impressive!

The report continues “It’s insane, both the stunt and the schedule,” I was told. “But Criss wanted to kick off the new TV shows with two totally extraordinary back-to-back spectaculars. It’s not quite the order he originally wanted but the extra week helps ensure he hopefully gets out alive.” Angel is currently working on the Believe show daily while running back and forth with Mindfreak, rumors have it that our ladies man has taken some time off from the lovelies to work on his projects. Safety first… of course!
