Criss and Veronica
Since the Miss USA pageant in April 08, Criss Angel has been subject to numerous rumors about his verbal attack on journalist Norm Clarke regarding his girl friend Veronica Grabowski (Miss Nevada) and her untimely elimination from the pageant. Norm reports “Shortly after Grabowski was eliminated, Angel was seen flashing a middle finger during a NBC telecast when a roving cameraman attempted a celebrity-in-the-crowd shot at Planet Hollywood Resort's main theater.
Miss Nevada USA Veronica Grabowski, didn't make the finals of the Miss USA pageant, and this angered Angel enough to keep this issue in the spotlight at every opening he has attended since. Numerous journalists have commented on the situation as the comment from Angel to Clarke was a bit over the top. Angel is quoted as saying “Angel was still fuming after the pageant when he threatened this columnist in an F-bomb-laced tirade that ended with Angel, after being restrained, saying, "Don't ever write another word about me, or you'll need an eye patch over your other eye."
There is even concern from Steve Friess, a freelance writer who has stated issue with Angels fan based call the “loyal” who Friess claims has a Manson-like control over “thousands of rabid goth-crazed followers (who) can cause serious harm.”

Issues of character are flying in the Vegas rumor mill as Angel’s $100 million show Believe with Cirque du Solei is the “biggest, riskiest entertainment gamble this year” and Angel’s questionable attitude problems are causing a minor grumbling across the net.
Angel who is known to appear at any and all red carpet show openings is quoted by Friess in his blog Vegas Happens Here at the ASMA’s opening he asked Angel about the incident and asked if Angel would apologize for the comments in which Criss replies ”The problem is, some people got their lines crossed. And if some people got the whole story, they would see that what he wrote is actually not what really happened. So there’s nothing to apologize for.”
So with the question asked and Criss’s answer, I wonder if the media will let this issue go, or if Angel and his “loyal” fans will be under the magnifying glass for another month.
