Breaux won a gold medal
in 2004 for Javelin throwing
If you saw the American Gladiator episode this week (or have read the update on Realitybug.com) then you already know that the show has a new kid on the block and his name is Hurricane.
Well, that is his stage name. His mother named him Edward Breaux Greer after she gave birth to him on October 19, 1976 in Houston, Texas. He is better known by Breaux and he is a world class athlete.
Before he became the newest darling on the NBC hit reality show, Breaux was a javelin thrower and a darn good one two. He is an American Champion in the sport and in 2007 set a record throw of 91.29 meters. He did this feat at the U.S. Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Indianapolis. He competed twice in the Olympics in 2000 and 2004. He placed 12th in the 2000 game which was held in Sydney, Australia. However, he kept his eyes on the prize and won first place in the next Olympic games that was held in Monte Carlo, Monaco. He was even landed the cover of the November 2004 issue of Track and Field News magazine.
This Gladiator likes monkeys with big butts
Realitybug.com will keep you up to date on both Breaux (aka Hurricane) and the rest of the American Gladiators. And what are some of the things Breaux likes? Well besides AG, on his myspace page, he mentioned that he liked Brian McKnight, Pantera and “monkeys with big bright red booties”.
