Biography
Alex came to America over 10 years ago to pursue his acting and entertainment career. He escaped form Cuba with his cousin and 3 childhood best friends on his search for freedom. They were in the middle of the Atlantic when their boat's engine failed causing the boat to sink. They spend 5 days lost at sea without any food or supplies, fighting to survive. Alex was one of the only two survivors that were rescued by a Marine Corp's ship traveling from the Mediterranean Ocean. These sailors risked their life for Alex and his best friend. Alex was in such severe condition that it was not possible to personally thank the men who rescued them. In gratitude Alex voluntary joined the Marines and served for several years. He later became a proud American Citizen and worked his way into the entertainment industry.
Alex has done appereances in major television shows, he's also appeared in several music videos like "welcome to miami" with Will Smith, Gloria Stefan, Enrique Iglesias, Celia Cruz, Ricky Martin and many other national and international artists. Alex gained his celebrity status by signing to the creative team of cirque du soleil as one of the main performers of Las Vegas Entertainment hit Zumanity. Representing cirque du soleil around the world with his handsome face and chiseled physique, Alex has graced the pages and covers of international magazines as people, time, GQ, zink, muscle & fitness ,ocean drive, and many other Vegas, fashion and entertainment magazines. Alex's humble beginnings allowed him to dance with many different troups in cuba like Tropicana, Havana night tour and several Cuban tv stations and clubs around the world. Alex's first tv appearance was when he was 7 years old as a hit rumba kid. Alex is now featuring as Militia one of the newest gladiators in the new NBC hit show American Gladiators, the long awaited recreation of the late 80's hit American gladiators
