OCC and Charity: OCC joins with Sikorsky Aircraft of raise money for the United Way

OCC Choppers will be joining
in a CT fund raising ride

Orange County Choppers is no stranger to giving. From the "Fire Bike," which raised money for families who lost loved ones on 911, to the more recent BSN bike, which raised money for wounded veterans and their families at the Keller Army Community Hospital at West Point, OCC has a long tradition of using their talents to help the helpless. They try to live out the old saying, "You can't keep it till you give it away."

In the most recent episode of American Choppers Orange County Choppers created a helicopter theme bike for Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. Sikorsky, a long time supporter of the local Bridgeport, CT, United Way, Will use the bike to raise funds for charity--as well as for marketing and as a company morale booster.

Senior on the Sikorsky Bike

Sikorsky Aircraft President Jeffrey P. Pino, a biking enthusiast and United Way board member, participates in the Bridgeport Annual Motorcycle Ride and Classic Car Show, which is part of his company's Community Giving Campaign to benefit both the United Way and Community Health Charities. The event usually attracts many thousands of bikers, and it's long been a dream of Pino's to add an OCC theme bike to that parade in hopes of attracting more attention and therefore raise more funds.

With Pino’s assistance, a bidding contest will take place this year to ride on a motorcycle built by the Teutuls of television’s “American Chopper” fame. Teutul family members also are expected to join the local fund-raising ride.
