OCC Themed RollerCoaster to Open Soon! Wednesday, May 07 2008

Darien Lake Theme Park Resort announces the MotorCoaster! This new OCC inspired roller coaster sports open-air motorcycle shaped seats, tight twists, corkscrew turns, and a race track straightaway. When the lights go green, it launches from zero to 40 MPH in only 2 seconds!

The Teutuls themselves are scheduled to be at Darien Lake on Friday, May 16 for the Grand Opening of the MotoCoaster roller coaster. The Theme Park, located halfway between Rochester and Buffalo, NY, opened for the summer season on May 3rd, but special celebrations are planned for their OCC guests.

Created by Italian thrill ride and roller coaster designer Zamperla, the "first of its kind" ride gives its passengers a taste of real motorcycle thrills with its high acceleration start and fast tight turns.

In a classic case of art imitates life imitates art, the MotoCoaster, inspired by the Teutul's innovative chopper creations, will itself be the inspiration for a new OCC roller coaster theme bike! The Teutuls will use their coming visit to gather information and ideas for an upcoming show where they design an Amusement Park theme bike for Darien Lake Park.
