30 Days will air now on Tuesdays at 10pm.
Morgan Spurlock and his award-winning reality show 30 Days, will return to TV for its third season. Spurlock has kinda ran with the idea of walking in someone else’s shoes and has shown audiences how not only to walk in their shoes, but live their lives for a whole month.
This season offers interesting and thought provoking episodes that might cause people to look life a little differently: “What would it be like to work as a coal miner?” Spurlock will jumpstart the season with him returning to his home state of West Virginia. He will work as a rookie coal miner, also known as a “redhat” for 30 days.

Coal mining can be lucrative but it is just as dangerous. Spurlock is informed of this by his supervisor Dale Lusk and his wife Sandy. In addition to working the grueling tasks of this job (shoveling coal and lugging around heavy equipment) he meets people involved in the coal industry and hears the stories about their lives, including talking with a woman whose father died recently in a mine explosion.
Because the coal industry provides 50% of America’s electricity, Spurlock also meets up with coal industry executives and environmentalists who discusses the benefits and pitfalls of using methods like surface mining and mountain-top removal. This proves to be interesting and this is just the first episode!
30 Days will premiere on the FX Network on June 3rd at 10pm EST.
