Mrs. Morgan Spurlock: Pledge to be Veg

Being a vegan has helped her
and Morgan

Alexandra Jamieson is the yin to Morgan Spurlock's yang. She has been the force behind this awesome detox recovery in his Oscar-nominated “Super Size Me” documentary and she has always been supportive of his projects which includes his hit FX reality show, 30. She is the spouse of one of the most successful and thought-provoking film makers today, but really, who is she?

She is a holistic health counselor and professional personal chef who was born March 27, 1975. She was raised by bohemian parents in Oregon and was raised eating good, home-cooked food. When she became a teenager, she indulged in her sweet-tooth thanks to working at a snack shop in her hometown called “Muffin Break”. Well, the muffins there didn’t give her a break and she lived a fast-food junk food lifestyle for the next decade of her life.

She was living in New York City at the time and working a professional yet, sedentary job at a lawyer’s office didn’t help her health and she decided to make a change. She came across some information on healthy eating and she decided to become a vegan which is a person who eats no meat or meat by-products. Enamored with her new lifestyle, she further dedicated herself by enrolling at the Natural Gourmet Cookery School in NYC. To support herself while attending school, she worked at an Irish bar where she first met Morgan Spurlock as a cocktail waitress.

Alex's book ...

Since then, she had worked as a sous-chef at a macrobiotic restaurant in Milan, Italy and as a pastry chef at a trendy organic NYC restaurant. Alex then came with the ambition of not “just to feed people, I wanted to teach them to feed themselves", she said in an interview to www.animalliberationfront.com. She has her own company Naturally Flavored Chef, LLC, and has evolved into being a private chef, teacher, published author, and health counselor.

Morgan and Alex soon married and she gave birth to their first child, Laken James Spurlock in 2006. Having a wealthy and famous husband does help to provide attention, but she has been a guest on Oprah and the Bryant Gumble advocating healthy and humane living. Her role in the “Super Size Me” has brought on her book The Great American Detox Diet with a foreword by Morgan Spurlock himself.

“Healthy Chef Alex” is doing her life’s work and it is her passion. It has helped out her husband and it is sure to help out others all over the world.
