Why do people enjoy reality television so much?
Is it because the shows are more interesting than regular shows? Is it because we get to see people make fools of themselves on televison. Is it maybe because the reality television stars seem more accessible and personable than other celebrities?
Perhaps it is all of those reasons and yet none of them at all. For what ever reason, reality shows are very popular and has set a new standard in television. These types of shows are everywhere and probably on every channel in the world.
First reality star to win an Oscar.... Jennifer Hudson
Reality TV show celebrities has taken on almost mythical proportions. Even when Dog the Bounty Hunter was facing some serious legal problems late last year, thousands of his fans pledged support and appointed him an American hero. Another example is Jennifer Hudson who was a contestant for reality show, American Idol. She wasn’t voted Idol that year, but soon after that, she landed her first movie role in Dreamgirls and won an Oscar. She was the first reality show star who won an Academy Award for a movie debut. Now that’s history.
